Doing a PhD abroad – in France
Manuel Thieme
It is difficult in itself to make up your mind about your future career after finishing your university studies. Should you decide to further stay in research by becoming a PhD student, there is another question you need to carefully think about: will you apply for PhD positions abroad? Doing so will certainly broaden your options and give you higher chances for acceptance, but there are additional difficulties you will face by going abroad.
To help you decide, I created a mashup between a website and blog, giving you some hands on tips, telling you about my experiences and the life in Montpellier, southern France. If you want to find out how it feels to go abroad and to be part of a big European project, drop by here: phdfrance.wordpress.com.
